  • What are your Reception hours?

    Our Reception opens at 2pm daily and closing time varies with the seasons. We will be open until at least until 5pm.

  • How can I contact the Reservations Team

    Our reservation team is availble and active on email only (not phone). Please email us on hello@manapouripark.com

  • What happens if I arrive after Reception has closed?

    Don’t worry! If you have a booking already, you will find a your self check-in information by the reception door. If you are looking to book on arrival, you can jump on our wifi and make yourself a booking on our website.

  • What is the latest time I can make a booking?

    No time is too late. Please check the live availability on our website and make an instant booking, then refer to the late arrival information by our reception door.

  • How can I cancel or modify a booking?

    If you you booked directly with us, please reach out to our Reservations Team via email (not phone). If you have booked via a third party, please cancel or modify via your third party app or reservation confirmation email.

  • Do the rooms have private bathrooms?

    Baches, Lake House, Chalet, and Apartment: These feature private en-suite bathrooms.


    Cabins and Bunkroom: These have access to our communal bathroom facilities located nearby in the park.

  • Are pets allowed at the park?

    If you are looking to bring a pet, please email us with the details, and we'll advise accordingly.

  • Can I cook my own meals?

    Absolutely. Our self-contained units have private kitchenettes. For those in cabins or campsites, we have a communal kitchen equipped with the basics such as stovetops, microwaves, fridges, and dining tables. We also have outdoor BBQ grills and a picnic area.

  • Is there a place to do laundry?

    Yes, we have a coin-operated laundry room with washing machines and dryers. Guests are welcome to exchange coins at our reception between 2pm and 5pm daily.

  • What should I do about breakfast?

    Cathedral Cafe offers a good breakfast menu, and the Waiau Street Cafe has some great options. 

  • Is parking free?

    Yes, we offer free self-parking on-site for all our guests. If you are going on an overnight Doubtful Sound cruise, please check with reception about leaving your vehicle with us.

  • Is there a minimum age to check in?

    Yes, 16 years old.

  • Do you offer early check-in

    Check-in before 2pm is not possible. If you arrive in Manapouri before 2pm, we recommend to park up on Frasers Beach for a bit of lake time. Checking in any time after 2pm is good for us.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    We have Standard Rates with a 24 hour Cancellation Policy, and we sometimes have Non-Refundable Rates available too.

  • Do you have a swimming pool?

    We do not have a swimming pool on-site, but we are located right across from Frasers Beach on Lake Manapouri—the perfect spot for a refreshing natural swim!
